We have cake!
For the first time in absolutely ages, we made a cake today. All of us chipped in together as a family to produce this object d’art and I think it turned out quite well, even if I do say so myself – which I do. My ability at using body filler and resins also came in handy with a transferable skill in the shape of skimming the culinary delight in slightly over sweet chocolate.
Behold, the Coronary Cake!
And to go with it, some cards and gifts.
Doctor Who toys, just perfect for a grown man who’s barreling towards 40 and doesn’t appear to want to actually grow up, a book on the making of the new Batman trilogy and lastly, even my elderly neighbours chipped in with the drawing set and a cheque for what I think is far too much money. I’ll have to talk to them about that.
Thanks to all concerned, it’s very much appreciated.

the cake looks wonderful I hope it was very nice and the “Geschenks” are perfect for a man!
Thanks, it tasted wonderful too.
Regarding the geschenks, they were great – loved them. Thank you very much!

The book is pretty good, doesn’t quite live up to the title, but all the same it is a good read.
Gah you didnt tell me it was your birthday?! (Or did i forget? *red faced*) I hate missing birthdays
Happy Birthday by the way lol
Thanks very much – don’t worry, you didn’t forget, I rarely mention my birthday until it’s too late.
Happy day of physical embodiment (belated)! Just add up the digits in your age and that is the age of your inner child. In 1 month and 11 days, I will be 8 again.
Cheers! What I’d give to be 8 again.
Then again, knowing what puberty was like and having to live through that for a second time, perhaps not. Or would I?
I really don’t know. Oh hell, yeah, I’d be 8 again.
